Being born and raised in Mankato has allowed me to experience and witness all the great things the area has to offer. Fostered by the values of my close-knit family, I was encouraged to engage in numerous service opportunities, ultimately leading me to pursue an education in social work.

In my Bachelor of Science in Social Work (BSSW) program at Minnesota State University, Mankato, I was further drawn to efforts that serve to strengthen communities. My passion lies in breaking down barriers faced by individuals in every setting to ensure a just and equitable society for all. In combination with direct practice, I believe policy, procedure, and program development are crucial in effecting positive change and supporting individuals as they work to navigate the complexities of life.

As a non-clinical intern at APS, I am eager to contribute to the enhancements of policy and procedures vital to supporting the organization’s work. I look forward to exploring potential opportunities to support initiatives through grant-related endeavors. After searching for a unique internship experience post-graduation, I am very excited to be a part of a team dedicated to making a difference in the lives of others.

Apart from work, I love to travel and explore. When I’m not on an adventure, you can find me cozied up with a good book, doing an art project, or baking. Either way, it is likely I have my camera ready and snacks in hand.
