I believe that overall well-being is important to a happy successful life and mental health is one of the main components to overall well-being. I strive to assist anyone in reaching their goals of a fulfilled life through overcoming strong emotions and circumstances. I hope to be a safe space for anyone who needs one. I will provide a client-centered strength-based approach that will be empowering and help build self-esteem. We will often be working through uncomfortable things to reach a state of acceptance and/or change. I will incorporate various methods during our time together including somatic or body-based techniques to find the right fit for the individual.
I grew up in a small town in Iowa before moving to Mankato. My passion to help others comes from times of needing support myself and not having many options within reasonable distance. I want to be able to help people from rural communities get the quality care they deserve. I completed my undergraduate at MSU- Mankato and my graduate degree at Adler Graduate School here in Minnesota. I have been working with individuals and groups since 2018 with a focus on the whole person.
When I am away from the office, I enjoy spending time with my 2 dogs and 2 cats. I love to spend time walking and exploring the local parks. You will also find me inside with a good thriller book or experimenting in the kitchen. I try to stay active and focus on various forms of exercise including Yoga, Pilates, and weight training.
