I believe therapy should be a collaborative and client-centered process—one that honors each individual’s unique story and supports their personal path toward healing and growth. My approach is rooted in compassion, trust, and understanding. I use a strength-based, individualized style informed by cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused techniques, and other evidence-based practices to help clients build confidence, develop coping strategies, and deepen self-awareness. I’ve worked with children, adolescents, and adults across a variety of settings, including outpatient clinics, schools, day treatment programs, and via telehealth. My clinical experience includes supporting individuals through recovery, grief, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. I see therapy as a space where clients can break through limiting beliefs, embrace change, and realize their full potential.
Growing up in rural Wisconsin and navigating my own experiences with mental health hurdles, I understand how powerful it can be to have a safe, supportive space to reflect and heal. This personal understanding deeply shapes the empathy and care I bring to my work. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Music and Psychology from Bethany Lutheran College, a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Minnesota State University, Mankato, and earned my LPCC (Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor) in February 2025. Outside the therapy room, I enjoy life’s creative side—sewing, quilting, playing one of my ten instruments, or exploring new crafts. I love spending time with my husband and our three cats, diving into books, traveling, and playing video and board games with loved ones. I find joy in the little things and aim to bring that same appreciation into my therapeutic work.
