Originally from New York and currently living in Arizona, I started off helping others as an elementary school teacher (15 years) and college professor (11 years) before going into mental health as a practitioner. The passion for teaching undergraduate psychology courses and participating in research studies, led to a cross-cultural presentation at the International Conference of Psychology in Yokohama, Japan (2016) which catapulted the desire to go beyond the classroom and help others in another capacity as a therapist while working on my doctorate in clinical psychology. Over the last 10 years I have worked with children, teens, adults, and families helping them achieve their goals by recognizing their strengths and aiding them in the journey of healing and empowerment through self-reflection and discovery. Since the Covid pandemic I have expanded my experience from in-person to Telehealth, providing my clients with the same modalities and one-on-one experiences to meet their needs. My philosophy is that we are always looking for “Progress not perfection.”
In my personal time I enjoy spending time with my daughter, reading, traveling, and as much time as I can outdoors. I am an avid kayaker, paddleboarder, hiker, and runner (which my 2 Husky-Shepherd’s love). Currently, I am training again for my 2nd half marathon.
